At 1611 Kennels we strive to produce top quality puppies.   All of our breeding dogs are well trained and have outstanding dispositions.  Genetic soundness is a must with all our breeding dogs extensively tested to ensure the quality of our pups.  We also breed for strong athletic ability and a mentality to go and do whatever you ask.  We have happy dogs that love to work, go with you on the trail, and spend time with you around the house.  These dogs are our companions and friends.  We only produce puppies from dogs we love being with.  If we don’t enjoy them, we don’t breed them.

Puppies come with a 30 month Hip, Eye, and Elbow guarantee and are guaranteed to be unaffected from EIC, CNM, PRA, SD2.  Our goal is to do our best to ensure that your new puppy is physically and genetically sound.   Our pups will mature to around (females 40-55) (Males 55 – 70) lbs which is a great size for in the house, boat, blind, or on the trail.

We want a pup that will go wherever your trail leads with a strong desire to please.  We have pups that are serving as waterfowl guide dogs, as search and rescue, therapy, and as solid family companions.    References always available.

How many dogs are in your breeding program?

We will never have more than 3-4 breeding females.  The reason for this is our dogs are part of our family.  We want to ensure our dogs get proper exercise, training, and personal time with us.  We don’t breed for quantity, but quality.  Our breeding dogs are more than just for raising puppies.  They partner with us in our training classes, demonstrations, working with children, and enjoying outdoor activities with us.

Are our adult dogs trained?

Yes, they all are.  One thing that separates us from a lot of other kennels, is that we personally train each one of our dogs from 8 weeks old.  We want to know everything about them, and know what kind of dogs we are working with.  This ensures that the dogs that stay in our breeding program are dogs that we personally enjoy working with.  It also helps us have a better understanding of what to look for when breeding.

Health and Genetic Testing?

We want to improve the breed.  In order to do this, health is the upmost importance.  Our dogs are genetically tested and clear of genetic diseases and boast a background and pedigree that are proven.
